i have seen YMMV but for vegas, has been pretty consistent. not sure if cuz vegas properties process the booking ASAP for revenue even tho its a future stay.

i was NOT careful about selecting hotels rates w/ NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENT DUE NOW. this is wat u need.
doesnt matter you select pay now vs hotel. the RATE itself has to be non-refundable. if its flexible or has free cancellation or depo taken later date, then ur screwed. cuz ur CC is charged YMMV timeline vs ASAP. i needed ASAP for 12/31 deadline.
