Air Canada Baggage Tracker App

It has been a long time since I have been on this forum and so I hope I have chosen to post in the correct spot. I have a question about the Air Canada Baggage Tracker App. I was flying to visit family up north for Christmas. I was on the plane and used my app to see where my luggage was. For the longest time, it said, "preparing to load". Finally, it indicated that the baggage was "loaded". This gave me great joy. When I arrived at the airport, however, my luggage was not there. I had to make arrangements to have my luggage brought to me the next day. This has happened to me before and I know that luggage sometimes is delayed for various reasons. The thing that puzzled me was the fact that the app clearly indicated that my luggage was "loaded" on the plane. I ended up getting my luggage delievered to me at my sister's residence the next day. The woman who handed it over to me told me that MANY travelers had to this happen. In fact, she was off to the airport to pick up a new load of luggage.. I am happy that I got my luggage but very frustrated with my experience and the inaccuracy of the app.
I know for a fact that this app does not always update properly, however, I don't know why it would indicate "loaded" when it was never put on the plane. I don't think that they would have scanned it in advance as I watched as items were loaded and for all of this time, it indicated "preparing to load". It wasn't until about 20 minutes later when it said it was loaded on the plane. Any ideas? Thanks. I am thinkin gof reading out to Air Canada to see if I can get some sort of conpensation.
