Stayed here over NYE on a points booking and received complimentary breakfast for the stay.
Didn’t receive an upgrade but the room was quiet enough facing the pool. Got a nice NYE gift of their cookies/ pastries as well. The hardware was well kept and our major complaint was that the entranceway opened directly into the bathroom, but otherwise we liked the aesthetic. Water pressure for the shower wasn’t the best though.

Generally the hotel’s staff were friendly and helpful when needed, it doesn’t compare to the service at the mandarin oriental, upper house, or even the st Regis but it’s good enough for a high capacity hotel.
