I'm happy to report that after reaching out to the contacts on Elliott, I received a response within 10 min saying they would gladly work on it, followed by an updated itinerary with my requested routing about 90 min later. Only downside is that the new flight is old Mint, not new, but I'm still satisfied with the outcome. Much appreciation for directing me to that site, I was unaware of it.
I am very surprised they made an exception but happy it worked out for you.
