It is true that Alaska is builing the future on increasing market share; overall there are some pretty good things in the mileage plan. There;s bad stuff too.....show me any loyalty program - anywhere - that is better

We all saw this one coming but with the announcement of the mileage "benefits" for this year as many others have said on here a huge devaluation of what MVP75 members have enjoyed for years, I am ready to say AS mileage program is officially dead which is sad to me as someone who has enjoyed what was once the best rewards program in flight for decades. When AS joined one world it was likely that this would ultimately lead to the destruction of the beautiful solo plan they always had and in some ways I am shocked it held on as long as it did. I spose thats a credit to whatever loyalists remained in management that they "eased" the destruction of the program. With an overall decline in customer service since the pandemic, limited upgrades compared to historic records, and now further devlauation of the miles its probably time I start flying Delta.
