Thank you for such a detailed review. I have a (paid) 5 nights here in April, but through Amex FHR. I am wondering how different it may be since Amex also guarantees a 4pm checkout. I need this as our 19-hour flight back to Singapore is at 8pm! Also the breakfast which comes with the FHR booking I am assuming is a continental breakfast. It has been 6 months since they took over, and it does not seem as if they have sorted out their billing methods! I am still holding out, although I also have a booking at JW Marriott, but just a smaller room (& decent executive lounge!!). I so want to stay with them (Luxury Collection) because of the larger & more aesthetically pleasing room decor (compared to JW), but it is not looking good still. So, in short, I wonder if having booked through Amex will improve anything??
I don't think they want to sort it out. They are unresponsive to all requests IME. The staff, I think, is very sour about the reflag (by their own admission) and I think this is a protest or something.
