Benefits. Members with Lifetime Globalist status (each a “
Lifetime Globalist”) will receive all of the benefits of Globalist status, as set forth in the “Globalist Status” section above. In addition, Lifetime Globalists will receive the following awards and benefits described in Appendix B without the need to satisfy a minimum annual Base Point earning or Tier-Qualifying Night threshold:
...
If a Lifetime Globalist applies to a reservation or gifts to another Member all Guest of Honor Awards issued to or earned by them prior to February 28, 2025, that Lifetime Globalist may make use of the legacy Globalist Guest of Honor benefit (as described in section V(i) of this Appendix C) until February 28, 2025.
.
By my reading of the T&Cs, you're correct. The legacy GoH is only available until 28 February of this year.
I see 2 reasons ...
First, the extension of time to use the legacy benefit to 28 Feb 2026 is limited to
any such Member who has Globalist status that – as of December 31, 2023 – expires later than February 28, 2025. I don't know how that would be possible, but I assume there is a way otherwise Hyatt wouldn't have added the clause. The only Members I'm aware that had Glob status on 31 Dec 2023 that expires after 28 Feb 2025 are those that earned LTG by 31 Dec 2023. Anyone else that had Glob status as of 31 Dec 2023, would have that status expire on either 29 Feb 2024 or 28 Feb 2025, depending on if they requalified for Glob during calendar year 2023.
Second, the use of legacy GoH by LTGs explicitly ends on 28 Feb of this year. Why would WoH end the benefit for LTGs while allowing Globs to use it for another year? This would be a significant devaluation of LTG benes.
