I said is it possible to get a better routing (same origin/destination) and they said only by cancelling and rebooking...the direct (BA) flight no longer available as a redemption. Plenty of better options on AA, but need many more miles.

Should I HUCA? Or am I likely to get the same response? (I appreciate one's miles may vary, but was wondering what the perceived likelihood of sucess is likely to be by regulars).
