Strange, I was looking at rooms for daughter No.3 and her tribe for that month and it was amazing value I thought. And they were 'understanding' about use of RA within the family :-) .... Weather I believe would good. From memory we went just a tad later but I would not think May would be a bad time.

There are a lot of car rental places there. Indeed on the very same street as the IC. I think this is something done by many. I didn't but I can imagine that to be a good call. Our aim on that trip was small trips out and a lot of lazing about which is unusual for us. But the scenary and island that I saw from the hotel taxis were rather nice for sure. If we went back again I think I would do exactly as you say jpdx.
