Would appreciate a few thoughts on the following Qs:
Context: Currently Virgin Gold [also Hyatt glob and Marriott plat]. Potentially moving to USA for work after Q1 next year [not confirmed but likely - often go there for work currently - weirdly if this had been in play last year I was flying some expensive J company fares but this recently seems to have stopped and company policy changing etc.]
I was planning to book a big TP run near April to get silver n push to gold - now this seems way less beneficial so my questions are:
1) Is there a different OW airline loyalty programme it makes sense to join and credit all TPs there - then TP runs still make sense? If yes what is recommended?
2) I did have the BA bank account with barc for the avios and upgrade voucher - this now also seems a little redundant and perhaps I should focus on Virgin or otehr airline
3) My issue with Virgin was the lack of routes to the East [BKK etc.] and of course Europe - however if someone recommends good Sky team equivalent happy to hear. I feel like I don't understand well enough or get the full value of virgin gold [i feel like i don't get so many miles and limited benefits that only apply with Virgin / delta + of course seems to be less delta benefits in USA]
4) If move to the US is it better to switch virgin totally to delta for example? or AA or some other suggestion
sorry for the big question list but with all the expertise on here all thoughts and advise hugely appreciated!
I’m currently BA Gold, Virgin Gold and Hyatt Globalist. I think my easiest route to BA silver equivalent for the future is 100 nights at Hyatt properties to trigger AA Platinum Pro. No way I’ll ever be BA gold again.
