Flyer strategists (like most folks who are on flyertalk) will understand the strategy behind their "free" 15 visits. Others will not. To each their own.
Here is my plan:
1) I am already booking more flights out of JFK where I can utilize the Centurion lounge. Boy I bet that lounge gets EVEN MORE CROWDED. ATL Centurion lounge will also get a lot more visits from me.
2) I will only use one of my visits when I can spend at least 1.5 to 2 hours. No more stopping in for 30 minutes coffee and bagel. I'll bring food or buy that on the outside
3) Will limit my SC visits when on work travel. I can put any reasonable expenses on my T&E so no real need for the sky club (which my employer DOES NOT pay for anyway unless I'm paying a per visit fee)
Question - Any chance that Reserve card holders can CHOOSE when to use their 15 free visits? e.g. I am traveling for work in JAN or FEB and would rather pay the $50 fee which I can then put on my T&E. This would allow me to save my free vsiits for personal travel later in the year. I will not have exhausted my 15 free visits so early in the year. BUT IF I use a free visit I have no receipt and no claim for reimbursement. Has Amex or Delta clarified this detail??
