Again, the issue is that the credit terms say prepaid is referred to as "pay now" on amex travel but when you select that it can still result in you being given a non prepaid booking.
Will just add my DP, I had this exact situation. Called Platinum line to ask about this and they were adamant I would only get a $200 credit. But I ended up getting a $400 credit as the meter promised. I have a habit of making and cancelling FHR/THC reservations often, so I very well may have been owed another $200 from a cancellation that went wrong on the Amex side, I had that happen once before in the past. YMMV
