Having looked at MH and QR as alternatives, not sure either fits the bill for me. QR with its requirement for a minimum number of flights on QR metal or QR ticketed.And the loss of Avios if I use MH.
Looking at AY as an alternative to BAEC. But I notice they too have a spend based system however it uses multipliers based on your current tier. Has someone done any sort of comparison on the likelihood of maintaining OWS on AY's club (need 45,000) compared to the new BA version? I know it's tough to calculate TPs when fare prices can fluctuate, but overall is there a good rule of thumb?
Also, do I need to fly on AY metal to qualify and can I easly transfer Avios to/from BA?
