Here are the hours for the underground passageway to Metro Center station. It's closed on Federal holidays.

Entrance to Washington Center/path to underground passageway is located to the right of the elevators (when facing the elevators). Take 2 sets of escalators to the lowest level, exit the glass doors to Metro Center station.
