This is probably a similar risk at many places, so keep that in mind if anyone decides to book an omakase in Japan.

I found everything was fresh and delicious, but my other half noticed some of the rice was undercooked, and even found a few grains that were hard and translucent. Not sure if this was on purpose, or incidental. I was disappointed with the tamago - when served this thin, a lot of the flavor and texture was lost, rather than concentrated.

All-in-all, I think I would return to Taichi vs rebooking Take.
Beautiful photos!
I think Takeuchi-san just serves more shellfish in general. Didn't have a problem with her shari when I visited, but I think the nigiri-only omakase is a better deal.
Heard good things about Taichi, does the rule that a foreigner has to be accompanied by someone who speaks Japanese still apply?
