I was approved for the Bevy card toward the end of December '23 and the 2nd annual fee is scheduled to be charged middle of this month. I earned Titanium with the 15 elite nights from this card plus the Biz Amex the last 2 years. I also earned the 50K free night with 15K spend combined from the sign-up spend and in the cards bonus.

I am planning to downgrade to the standard Bonvoy Amex with the $95 fee. I believe the best timing would be before the annual fee hits as that is the card that decides your anniversary free night? If I were to upgrade to the Brilliant the same logic would apply as I don't have an anniversary free night on the Bevy to lose? Since I've already had the Bevy 12 months I believe the timing for the downgrade okay now under Amex terms to avoid negative issues like a claw back of my SUB.

For me I imagine I'll downgrade and look toward future upgrade possibilities. If I needed the extra elite nights from the Brilliant I'd consider it more, but I actually have more confidence that I'd fully utilize the lower level free night award from the cheaper card.
