Does the Amex travel portal tend to have limited availability at FHR locations compared to booking directly through the hotel itself? For instance, the one hotel in Minneapolis that we sometimes use our FHR credit on (Hotel Ivy) has no availability in the next couple of months, but when I go directly through Marriott, tons of open rooms (even at standard redemption points level). I thought maybe they were transitioning out of the program, but if I bump the dates out to March or April, availability shows up again.
Not an expert in FHR, so this might be common behavior, but am curious...
