Just returned from W Prague and it was amazing!
I just returned from a two-night stay at W Prague and the hotel is great. Staff are well trained and one does not feel that the hotel is only open for a month - everyone is proactively friendly and all requests were fulfilled immediately and to the utmost expectations. They operate only half of the room inventory (only the modern building and entry-level rooms are available) with the heritage building still being finalized, especially the suites. Even though we did not get an upgrade (the hotel was fully booked over NYE), the room was spacious and it seemed that only Wonderful rooms (entry-level category) were bookable. Their Away Spa is among Prague's best spas; the indoor pool and jacuzzi are great even for a full spa day. Also loved the Petit Beefbar Restaurant, though the posh steakhouse concept felt it did not fit the Art Deco Café House interior - it was never busy and would be better off with a casual F&B concept. Another downside is the view from the new building. We looked onto a wall that was approximately 1 meter in front of us and next to it was the outdoor emergency staircase. We visited the super chic basement Speakeasy bar called Minus One and though there seemed to be an entrance fee (2000 CZK), cocktails were still to be paid extra. Arriving by car is a bit of a hassle, however, they have three bellmen assisting with the vehicle and the luggage immediately so it worked well for us. I felt paying 1500 CZK per night was expensive for a garage in Prague, though valet service was reliable and much appreciated with the construction going on at Wenceslas Square. Overall I can highly recommend W Prague and it will become one of the coolest Marriott Bonvoy redemtions in Europe.
