It’s one thing to do a Top-Up trip to get over the line and secure a status when the vast majority of the journeys taken have been by necessity.
I'll be doing journeys around the globe anyway: if some of them coincide with my travel plans, I'll be ensuring that I retain status. I certainly won't be doing £15k of tier point runs - although the question as to the cheapest way to retain status per mile is essentially the new tier point run thread.
