- Amex Plat gives DL SkyClub access when flying DL if you use them domestically

- Pre order food in PE
- Superior food in PE
- No “brunch” in J, no “supper” on late flights. Actual cocktails in J
- Pyjamas in J on night flights

Although they have moved to dynamic pricing there are still some bargains to be had. And with partners, I even managed to redeem some VS points on KLM from London to Switzerland on the Friday afternoon of February half term, saving me £750 on what BA wanted for ET. Admittedly the number required and the tax were both higher as there’s no RFS, but a bit academic as there was actual availability whereas BA obviously had nothing. VS of course are still issuing points for distance flown plus cabin/tier bonuses so the increased requirements are softened somewhat.

Ideal really.

As for the vibe…I have yet to have a bad crew…most are excellent especially if you’re Gold down the back, personal notes, greeting from the FSM, offers of something from the UC bars etc. and I’ll happily take the occasional “Firstname” or “Mate” over the monumental shafting BA have dished out in the past 7 days. But you may think otherwise!
