Our non-finance multi-billion revenue business is probably on the more generous side for a large corporate in that it allows shorthaul in economy only, premium economy for 5+ hours and business for 9+ hours or overnight.

But while i have some discretion, airline choice is based on least cost logical fare and non-refundable ticket buckets with selection limited to about 10% of the cheapest option. Short notice bookings also get special scrutiny. Most of my travel is therefore booked months in advance.

Why BA think they would be able to get more money from my business travel due to the change in their ffp is beyond me.

I probably dump £40k+ into vacations annually but carefully monitor hotel prices. BA holiday hotels used to be good value as part of a package but now they are a lot more expensive than booking direct in many cases.

Once the dust settles and transition offers (210 new tps bonus for a CW booking is a particularly egregious mistake) and earning thresholds are made more sensible I will review travel with BA again.
