I don't disagree with you as I also think the numbers on full J fares (these can be upwards of 10k to many US destinations) is shrinking and will continue to do so. This just is not the market that will come back as everyone increasingly looks to minimise spend but more importantly travel full stop. Did you really need to go to NYC for 1 meeting ? Answer nearly always in no, you didn't, wait until you have 3 meetings and go less often and certainly not at 10k a throw! And whilst BA looks to maximise our spend using increasingly sophisticated tools we can also use increasingly sophisticated tools to get better deals to travel between A and B. Works both ways.....

Indeed. I used to do a lot of business travel all over the globe, but since covid all those meetings (and they were often week long events) have gone online. Even then, most of these meetings were well planned in advance, so no need for a fully flexible ticket.
