I had a similar experience from a OneWorld partner flight not tracking - took about 3 months to get sorted and once the points did track the status upgrade wasn't automatic and needed another few calls and emails to chase up. Per their own terms (e.g. the Carry Forward T&C), you are owed the upgrade with retroclaim....bizarrely if you were at 58 and you had 4 points retroclaimed, although they would bump you up to Gold, the extra 2 points wouldn't be carried forward.
