This discussion isn't all that different than those we've had in previous years (e.g. hopping up to Beijing during your Shanghai transit), though the risk of getting caught seems to be quite a bit lower, on the surface. Personally, I'd err on the side of caution, in spite of the fact that my general risk tolerance is rather high.
