This is on the trivial side but a recent behavior I've noticed on the website that might be helpful to some. As background, at this time of year I'm generally holding a larger number of reservations before embarking on an annual road trip. Some are booked with cash rates of varying types (AAA, Senior, etc.) and others with points. It seems that if a reservation made on a cash rate is later modified to points it cannot be switched back, leaving the only option as cancel. I have had this happen across a broad spectrum of properties in all price ranges. I have not cross-checked this on the app.
