I would not be so sure about that. LH is currently very anti-customer, everything they do seem designed to piss off their customers. They are not trying to be attractive and openly say it.
Although Miles&More is a separate company like Avios is, so maybe there will be a status match not necessarily limited to LH but to the entire LHG. The strength of Miles&More is that for native metal, you have a large choice of hubs (FRA/MUC/ZRH/VIE/BRU/WAW) and a gazillion airlines each with its pros and cons.
