I stayed at this GH during new year. The hotel was pretty much fully booked and therefore quite busy. Used a Suite Upgrade Voucher and received a Grande Suite which was really big with separate living room area, a long balcony and amazing view in direction Mandarin Oriental and Rixos. The room was a little worn but not serious. New year fireworks were visible from the balcony that only took 10 minutes. Unfortunately I only read too late that in the Liwa desert they had a huge fireworks and drone display. What I liked about Abu Dhabi compared to Dubai is that it was widely possible to walk around. Along the Corniche they have bicycle/scooter tracks. Everything very clean.

Pros:
- Very generous with water bottles
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Large breakfast buffet, officially until 11am but always open longer
- Comfortable bed
- Lounge was nice, including a balcony area and reasonable amount of food and drinks
- Good gym

Cons:
- Only a few power outlets and oddly positioned
- Bathroom and toilet layout very narrow
- Probably due to occupancy but the elevators were really annoying with long waits
- Pool area rather small considering the size of the hotel, at least the pool was heated
- Beach area part extremely small
