I think I’m not understanding what you’re saying here. A 2000+ mile AS flight in business gets lounge access regardless of status. For OW status based entry in other cases, the flight has to credit to that partner for access. At least from what I’ve been told and rules I’ve seen published. This also covers AS lounge access for flights on any other OW airline.
Perhaps I’m missing a nuance in what you’re saying.
