That would be true for existing Plats currently on the Plat for Life ladder (I am in this position and will get this at my renewal this year) but this would not be true for anybody joining FB now: they would already be under the new regime of max 300 carry-over and would not have the conversion of multiples of 300s into added years. They would therefore necessarily have to wait 10 years before becoming Plat for Life.
