Might as well also give an update on the Four Points Rancho Cucamonga whilst I am here. The final nights of my MR were here. The rooms were updated, but they are dark; very few light fixtures. Decent shower pressure and hot water. Breakfast, which was comped for me, was very salty, but most of the folks in this part of the world are a salt shaker away from a heart attack. They've recently introduced a junk parking fee of $5 a night. Parking is comped with my rate, and I was given it for the first two nights. When I extended it, however, I was charged for parking on the final night. My rate specifically states that it includes self-parking, but the person I challenged claims that it does not despite the fact that it specifically states so. I guess reading is not fundamental? Supposedly he credited my card back, but I have at least half a dozen folios stating otherwise. I really hope I don't have to open a case with Marriott. The biggest problem I encountered when staying at this property was the noise (above, below, next to my room). The property apparently hosts various travelling youth sports teams. Lots of running around in the halls, being loud in their rooms well into the night, and in the case of drunk/high teens, a lot of knocking on my door because they forgot what room they were in. I didn't bother calling down to the front desk, but they were largely indifferent to the issue. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't stay here again unless I needed to churn EOY nights.
