Just off the phone to the GGL team, and my word I'll miss being able to talk to experts. We worked through various options to change my redemption to KUL and potentially adding Kuching to the ticket, and ended up just changing the outbound to reduce the risk of a re-price explosion. As an aside, KUL is an excellent F redemption option for the far East by the looks of things, where Singapore can be quite tricky for availability, KUL seems quite clear. Worth having in mind.

So I'll book a separate Y ticket KUL to KCH and overnight in Sama Sama. The benefit of taking MH is we can check bags through on the return.

I wished the agent a Happy New Year and didn't gripe about the change. I doubt a cull of GGL members is likely to be good news to this excellent team.

The only travel related item to do today is a "new world" one - We're booked to Greenland from Copenhagen in the next half term, and I have to look at activities. I've used BA redemptions for positioning to CPH for the moment, and will probably stick with that to max out of the Concorde room facilities on the outbound. Oh, and I'm flying to Amsterdam this evening if the wind gods allow, to fly to Humberside tomorrow AM with KLM/Eastern so as to tick another UK airport off the list.
