Hyatt Regency Maui vs Grand Wailea
I've got a trip to Maui coming up next July and trying to decide whether to stay at Hyatt Regency in Kaanapali or Grand Wailea. After reading the master threads on both, they each seem to have their faults. I'll be using points for the stays, have Hilton diamond but no significant Hyatt status. Have three kids so pools and reasonable access to pool chairs are important. I've stayed at the Hyatt before pre pandemic and liked it but sounds like a lot has changed for the negative. Never stayed at Grand Wailea and am excited about the pools, but reviews make it seem dated and hotel nickel and dimes everything.
I crossed off andaz due to points cost. Airbnb and other properties i eliminated due to importance of good pool system for our family. Any thoughts on HR vs GW?
