Bought the same deal from Costco for my wife recently - the T&L carry-on, medium check-in and the weekender. I think it was cheaper than the Platinum Elite. She's only used them on domestic trips so far, but is going to take the carry on and weekender to Europe under the same conditions you. Compared it to Monos, Beis and Away in person (returned the Away, borrowed a friends Monos, and my daughter kept the Beis because it was pretty) and the Travelpro was the nicest of them all. Can't speak to its durability yet, but seems sturdy and doesn't feel/look cheap. I've got a B&R and it doesn't roll as smoothly as hers.
Sorry I never saw this. I went ahead and purchased it mentally challenging it to make me keep it and I loved it at first maneuver. Its smooth role is just amazing. I hate checking it as it got a bit warn very first flight seemed to gather black possibly from the conveyer and I couldnt scrub it but try to tell myself its a bit of character. Used it soley for 3 long hauls to Europe and 1 month in India. LOVE IT.
