Now, there is another problem. Looks like the Marriott Bonvoy site is down. It says " We’re having trouble fetching some data. Please try again in a moment."
I did manage to buy points as the portal is different. Have email reply from Marriott which says "Thank you for your recent purchase of points. You will be notified when the points have been credited to your account. Points will be posted to your account within 72 hours after the transaction is complete. Your purchase is summarized below:..."
So I trust point balance is extended.
