Experience with lost ski bag?

I flew YVR-LAX-TPA yesterday. My ski bag didn’t make it and WestJet doesn’t track their luggage like delta. They have no idea where in the system my ski bag is. All they know is that it got checked in.

hoping it turns up in next couple of days. But already thinking what if it doesn’t. I’m just now realizing how much was in that bag. It had a snowboard, bindings, boots, 2 helmets, 3 goggles, 2 ski jackets, pants, gloves, neck warmers, ski shirts, ski socks, 2 backcountry ski backpacks, and tons of layers. The cost to replace all of the contents in that bag has to be close to $6,000 or $7,000. What is deltas policy for reimbursement, especially when it was west jets fault
