We were there in April. We had a private guide/driver (Jaime, +52 951 607 9098); however, there were numerous tour buses in the parking lot. I did wonder how they got there, as the road to Hierve el Agua from the main highway is twisty and very narrow at some points.

It is worth the excursion.
