Not strictly related to the OPs experience - and hope he eventually made it - but what happens if you don't take things in your own hand for onward transportation? My understanding is BA ist responsible to get passengers to FRA and pay accomodations and meals until they do. They could tell you to buy your own train/can/rental and reimburse you, but if they don't have anyone there.... So if they never organize anything could you just stay in str on their dime indefinitely?
