I agree on the fact that this type of program was bound to happen. But as Delta Diamond, you can get picked up from the plane in a Porsche. With BA it's likely to be a Higer Bus with 50 other passengers even if you flew "First". So I am not sure that this gamble will work.
DL Diamond here and never been picked up by the Porsche in ATL or SEA my home base but I live in hope 😀, but 100% agree that the bus gates at LHR are a disaster - flew SEA-LHR in F early Dec to use up last avois and companion ticket, bus gate arrival wait for 30mins for buses to arrive then 30min queue at FT security and to top it off LHR-MAN was a bus gate - just a terrible ground experience and really a major reason why we try to avoid LHR and now I'm free of avois can choose not to travel through LHR - Yeah
