Don't believe me? As I've said elsewhere in this thread, look at the whinge threads on here. They're full of people who are complaining that too many people have [status benefit] and so [status benefit threshold] should be increased to [tier points they obtain -1], most recently in the threads about how busy the club lounges are at Heathrow. Those with status who gain access for free were, in one example, arguing that Club Europe passengers who have paid for access should no longer get that access.

So if you ask all the people on £5000+ fully flexible Business Class tickets to America about whether the loyalty scheme should reward total spend instead of rewarding flights flown, you can imagine their response...
But wouldn’t it be nice to know how many responses there have been to influence this major change? I know we will never find out though.
