Not that I ever spend more than 5 minutes clearing the normal security and not that the lounges are on par with CX F lounges, but they do help to elevate the experience, especially if it;s your first time.

The lounges are nothing to write home about for sure, but on one occasion it saved my butt during Covid: had major issues with the app turning 'green' for travel, and received some much-needed help in the lounge in Shanghai...missed a few trains as I tried to navigate the issue, and was VERY glad I was in a lounge as opposed to somewhere in the main hall.
(I usually travel in business class...but it's OPM, so there's that...)
