This will be the biggest impact to me, having previously paid for BA/OW J long haul once a year to unlock ~18 months of silver benefits on short haul trips.

I absolutely detest the T5 Plaza Premium lounge (link to Google reviews) so will take my SH business to EasyJet at Gatwick, where the No1 lounge (via DragonPass) is quite good and includes fast-track security when pre-booked for £5. Paying for an onboard roller bag and seat selection will be annoying, but tolerable.
