As a follow up, I have already qualified for GGL for next year thus my TPs from this trip will basically be worthless (my ambitions for GfL have been dampened). Having looked at the QR My Calculator, and given I use (and like QR) I think I should be able to get to Platinum (emerald) on this trip (we have 6 QR flights as part of the RTW). I will keep my wife on BA as she needs the TPs to renew her Gold. Is there anything that I need to be aware of before making the switch, I don't see that I have anything to lose?
