Checking back on this thread, I was able to bid on MH164 back in July but it was an odd experience. I bid the lowest possible, then checked a few weeks later and the lowest possible had been increased by RM1000, I then got an email to say I was unsuccessful and the plane departed with about 15 empty J seats.
