agreed. Now that AF/FB has rewarded all the super loyal frequent flyers with the extra years of Plat, I feel that they are in a good position to introduce the spend based reward program going forward
I've sort of been seeing this coming, and the "cleanup" of status holders with rollover XP seemed like a way to work towards more purges. If it does happen, it will not be nice, and yes, I know LHG has recently changed things and not gone this way, but the BA move must make this quite tempting.
