You can credit a Skyteam partner (e.g. DL) flight to make the account "active". Make sure you don't purchase the flight on Delta website when logged in, and make sure not to add it to your bookings list while logged in, otherwise your DL number will get preference.
I travel for work, and all ticket purchases go through Concur, I guess I could add my AF # in Concur, how would I benefit from being DL gold if I do this?
