Very sad to see BA leaving most of the customers away from the new but bad system. (what a BAD announcements)
My situation is I am currently BA silver and I still need 665pts to reach BA gold before 8 Feb next year.
Is is worth to get a run in Jan to reach it so I can get an year of BA gold plus another year of silver membership without paying anything further? (soft downgrade and end at Mar2027)

I would probably end my friendship with BA no matter how the decision takes.
Just try to enjoy the last privilege from the old systems.
