The problem with this is that it doesn't offer me any certainty.
At the moment, I know exactly how many flights (and, thus, tier points) I need to retain GGL, and I can plan ahead where necessary.
I'm not going to bother aiming for £40k spend (nor £20k in all likelihood), so random bonuses will be of zero interest to me because of their likely sporadic nature. Of course, all conjecture!
