I wouldn't guarantee the F lounge will survive this, certainly not in its current form. It's only, in effect, for GCHs and OWEs, and probably most of the people using it fall into the former category. If this cuts the numbers of Golds from 80,000 to 8,000 - probably not an unrealistic figure - and you then take out those who make the spend requirement by flying F and are therefore in the CCR anyway - how much real estate do you think BA will be prepared to maintain with a handful of people floating around?
And if you don't need all that lounge space, and the number of people using The First Wing is equally reduced, then certainly you don't need to employ all those agents and contracted serving staff that generally make your journey through the airport so much easier.
In short, BA will size what it offers to the reduced requirement. You won't suddenly find lots of space. but your overall experience might well be worse.
Be careful what you wish for.
