So is anyone better off with this change.

As a self funded Gold I just earned 1120 TP's for about £3k on a BA holiday to Thailand via DOH in J. So instead of getting me about 75% of the way to gold it will now be 15%?

I guess if they do away with the soft landing it will avoid BA having to accommodate demoted golds in the already overcrowded club lounges.
