It was announced today that Vacasa will be acquired by Casago, a somewhat obscure, privately-held vacation property management company. Their business models seem to be similar.

Too early to tell what happens to the Vacasa's Wyndham partnership -- which, honestly, is the only thing frequent travellers probably care about. Vacasa has been a perennially unsuccessful publicly-traded company, so it was inevitable that some major corporate change would occur. This seems better than a Vacasa bankruptcy for Wyndham Rewards members. We'll see if the new owners have any interest in continuing their Wyndham relationship. I'd guess it's more likely than not this relationship will continue for awhile, but only time will tell.
